Capacitively-excited single-phase asynchronous generator for autonomous applications

The need to decentralize power generation and decarbonize the earth in order have a sustainable global economy are major reasons for development of this paper. Considering flaws grid-connected system, autonomous system becomes better alternative rural isolated areas. Analysis stand-alone single-phase Asynchronous generator based on d-q model stationary reference frame is presented. does not capability produce reactive necessary excitation must be provided by external means. Capacitive method has been considered paper due its simplicity economic viability. effects magnetic saturation airgap using nonlinear relationship between magnetizing inductance current machine. Under approach, mutual varies continuously. results shown that steady state condition generated voltage fixed but depends suitable combination capacitance rotor speed.
